Dr. Kotlarek and our staff are committed to providing each patient the finest dental care with emphasis on cosmetic dental treatments. Our goal is to comfortably provide healthy, beautiful smiles for a lifetime.

Marvelous new technologies, materials and techniques have advanced contemporary dental care to the point where even the most challenging dental problems can usually be simply resolved. Not long ago restorative dental care meant multiple visits over many months with the results often being unsightly. Today, dental repairs are often simple, quick and undetectable. Mismatched or discolored front teeth, gray gum tissue around crowns, and even silver or gold fillings are no longer necessary.

As a cosmetic dentist, Dr. Kotlarek applies his talent to enhance as well as restore the natural appearance of our patients' smiles. Dr. Kotlarek offers the following procedures to help give you your most perfect smile:

Smile Makeovers
Having an attractive smile can make you look and feel more confident. If the smile you desire requires your teeth be straighter, whiter, more even, shapely or some combination, we can help. Smile makeovers use advanced cosmetic dental procedures, such as porcelain veneers, to help improve your smile in just a few appointments. From dramatic improvement to subtle change, a smile makeover can brighten your entire appearance in an incredibly short time! For more information about smile makeovers, please contact us today!

Zoom "Laser" Whitening
Teeth can become dull, dingy, or discolored for a number of reasons. "Laser" whitening is a powerful technique that removes stains and brightens your teeth to a whiteness they may never have had. "Laser" whitening is done in our office, usually in about an hour. The procedure is safe and painless - we simply paint the bleaching agent onto your teeth and use a special light to activate it. You will be amazed at the difference the Zoom whitening system can make in brightening your smile and your overall appearance. For more information about whitening, please contact us today!

White Fillings
White fillings have helped bring dental care into a new age. They are aesthetically pleasing, and unlike mercury-containing amalgam fillings, they have no harmful side effects. White fillings can be matched to the color of your teeth so that your dental work is virtually undetectable. In addition, white fillings are strong and long-lasting. For more information about white fillings, please contact us today!

Bonding and Veneers
The perfect smile is easily marred by chips, cracks, stains, and gaps. Bonding and veneers are two options for repairing these and other aesthetic problems. Bonding is a conservative procedure that does not require removing any of the tooth's natural surface. A tooth-colored material is bonded to the teeth to fill in gaps, chips, and cracks or to hide discoloration. The bonding material is easily matched to the natural color of your teeth.

Veneers, on the other hand, provide more substantial coverage. Thin layers of porcelain, called veneers, slip over the front of the teeth, making them straight, white, and even. While veneers do require the removal of a small amount of the natural tooth, they preserve more natural tooth structure than crowns or fillings. Veneers often strengthen teeth that have been worn or previously filled. Veneers are long-lasting and extremely natural looking. They are also one of the quickest ways to achieve your dream smile! Crowns and Bridges
Missing or damaged teeth do not have to keep you from having an attractive smile. Not only do crowns and bridges improve appearance, they also make chewing and speaking easier in many cases. When a tooth is decayed or damaged, a crown can be fitted over it to provide protection and improved appearance. All-porcelain crowns can be matched to the natural color of your teeth, making your dental work less noticeable.

Bridges are used to replace missing teeth. Bridges consist of a replacement tooth connected to two crowns, which slip over the teeth adjacent to the gap. Not only do bridges improve appearance, but they can also making chewing and speaking easier in many cases. For more information about crowns and bridges, please contact us today!

Dentures and Partials
Dentures are a good option for those seeking authentic-looking replacements for lost teeth. Teeth can be lost for a number of reasons, including injury, gum disease and tooth decay. Missing teeth often cause problems with speech, eating, and self-confidence. Unfortunately, in some cases, natural teeth may be unsalvageable. Complete dentures can be used in these cases to help improve appearance and chewing power. Initially the denture may be awkward but patients adapt quickly and soon the denture feels like a "second skin".

Partials can be used in cases where some natural teeth remain. In such cases, partials are a good option because the remaining teeth can be used as anchors. If you are missing teeth, we can help you determine what your best option is -- you'll be looking and feeling better in no time! Wisdom Teeth (Third Molars)
Even before they start to hurt, emerging third molars can push on the surrounding teeth and cause instability and unattractive tooth crowding. A lack of available room in the mouth can prevent wisdom teeth from fully growing into position above the gum line. These "impacted" teeth can cause damage to adjacent tooth roots and act as a focus of gum disease.

As with most dental conditions, early treatment is best. Although wisdom teeth are often removed to relieve pain, usually a challenge remains to straighten crowded teeth, repair adjacent tooth roots or to treat the gum disease caused by their impaction. Having wisdom teeth removed prior to the development of these problems alleviates the need for further treatment, reduces the chance of complications and makes the removal simpler and more comfortable. Root Canal Therapy
Root Canal (endodontic) therapy is performed to alleviate pain, sensitivity to hot and cold, soreness and swelling that can arise from an infected or abscessed tooth. The soft tissue within a tooth is simply removed and replaced with a special filling material, ultimately making the tooth healthy and comfortable. Endodontic treatment is now most often completed in a single visit. The words "root canal" have inspired many comedy acts and have wrongly become synonymous with pain and suffering. In reality, root canal is the reliever of mild to severe dental pain. Decayed, severely painful and seemingly hopeless teeth can often be saved and made comfortable with this simple procedure. A patient once commented after therapy that the root canal treatment was like throwing water on to the fire that was their dental pain.
