Usually, this procedure takes about 90 minutes, the results are immediate. The procedure is safe and effective – we simply apply a clear whitening agent onto your teeth and use a special light to activate it.
The agent applied in all whitening systems is a form of hydrogen peroxide. Whitening agents have the potential, in some patients, to cause varying degrees of sensitivity during or after treatment. Patients with teeth normally hypersensitive to cold and heat may benefit from taking an anti-inflammatory medication prior to dental whitening. Additionally, a root surface block-out procedure can help mitigate sensitivity. Hydrogen peroxide has been proven safe, does not damage tooth structure and tingling or sensitivity following treatment will always dissipate.
For the greatest effect, we recommend professional cleaning prior to the bleaching procedure. You will be amazed at the difference the Zoom professional whitening system will make.

Whiten your teeth at home even while you sleep
- KoR Deep Bleaching potentially can whiten your teeth by up to 16 shades and is done through a combination of in-office and at-home treatments.
- Nite White and Day White are whitening systems used in the privacy of your home. A whitening gel is placed in a custom-made tray that is fitted around the teeth. This tray isolates our saliva making the whitening agent far more effective than bleaching products available at pharmacies.
The whitening process is effective on most discolored teeth. Darker stains, such as those caused by antibiotics, take longer to respond to treatment. The degree of whiteness varies from person to person, depending on tooth structure, number of applications or the duration of time that the system is used.
In most cases, you can achieve exceptional whitening in fewer than ten days or nights. Results last for years. Periodic touch-ups can be done with one or two applications, bringing back the dazzle. For more information about whitening, please contact us today!
Single Tooth Whitening
When one single tooth turns dark as a result of a dental infection, tooth trauma or following root canal treatment, single tooth bleaching may be the answer. This treatment is specifically designed for teeth that have had or are in need of root canal (endodontic) treatment. After the endodontic therapy is completed a sealer is placed above the root canal filling and a whitening product is placed within the internal tooth chamber. This single tooth bleaching procedure, known as the walking bleach technique, is performed in the dental office and is usually completed in two or three visits.
Walking bleach is a great option as an alternative to a crown or veneer if those procedures are only being considered to solve the problem of tooth discoloration. Walking bleach is also helpful if done as an adjunct, prior to placing an all-ceramic crown or veneer. If the tooth is first whitened, darkness near the gum line of the tooth does not show through the veneer or crown.
